Val di Mello drained

Download the scandalous documents about the last water collection request.
Dear friends, it seems really impossible but the ghost of the Val di Mello dried from every water source is dramatically back.
The “Tribunale Superiore delle Acque” has given permission to Geogreen S.p.A. to pursuit its project to collect water from ALL the Val di Mello torrents in order to be able to build 2 big Hydro Electric power plant.
Val di Mello represents a unique environment among the entire Europe, the landscape the history and nature are amazingly interesting,
There are thousands of tourists per year visiting the valley, dozens of publications on it and also almost ten laws protecting it beginning with ministry decree from November 16th 1973:
...we recognize the pre-cited zone has a noticeable public interest because it represents a rarely beautiful and uncontaminated panoramic picture of the Alpes, with vegetation composed by beeches, fir trees and birches, formed by green high pastures spreading towards the mountains which follow the valley spotted by rocks and cottages and “malghe” (summer alpine pastures) constituting an evocative and characteristic aspect fused into nature, having an aesthetic and traditional aspect...
Against this crazy project already in 2004 we collected 6000 subscriptions within one week, and we got the support of all political parties, some of the most relevant national newspapers, worldwide well known climbers and support of the vast majority of local administration members.
What else can we do to stop this ridiculous, crazy example of Italian masochist idiocy?
From our side we will re-form the spontaneous committee to defend Val di Mello to promptly diffuse all the news concerning this issue.
We will fight with our strengths to maintain for us and next generation this Small Monumental Valley an enchanted place.
We will organize events and actions to catch the public opinion attention.
We will Promote debates, meetings and documentaries.
We also will act as much rapidly as possible to include Val di Mello into the World Heritage List.
To be able to do this we need your help: we need to be together and determined. Let’s spread the news and get ready for the most radical and intelligent opposition.
